Bucky Barnes: The Winter Soldier Vol. 2

(Art by Marco Rudy, Langdon Foss and Michael Walsh)

Bucky and an older version of himself from an alternate future have to team up to prevent Loki and an alternate Crossbones from destroying an alien world.

This book is nonsense, in the truest sense of the word.  I had to think really hard to come up with the synopsis above because, basically, this book is incoherent and indecipherable for the most part.  There's no real narrative structure, no characterisation and even the artwork is messy and hard to follow.

On top of all of those problems, this book is also really stupid.  The fact that it's set on a world named Mer-Z-Bow which is threatened with being shot by a planetoid which is shaped like a literal revolver gun floating in space should tell you all you need to know about how dumb everything here is.

I don't know who they though would want a trippy, weird, space/cross-dimensional book starring the down-to-Earth former assassin the Winter Soldier, but it's certainly not me and, I suspect, it won't be you either.
